Q. How do I charge the battery?
A. The battery should be put on charge as soon as possible after your game.
Never leave a battery partially discharged as it will reduce the long term life of the battery.
Check and follow the charging instructions as set out by the battery and charger manufacturer.
Generally, a battery will take six to eight hours to become fully charged after an 18 hole round.
Unless you have selected an extra large capacity battery (greater than 28 amp hour), we do not recommend more than 27 holes on a single charge (although in many cases 36 holes can be achieved if care is exercised to minimise battery usage).
Q. How soon will the battery be ready to use again?
A. The battery should be charged for not less than 8 hours before re-use.
Q. My friend uses a small battery, will it work on my buggy?
A. Small batteries will work on any electric buggies, however, all batteries have a life span of a given number of "cycles".
The number of cycles possible is governed by how deeply the battery is discharged. (e.g. 100 cycles at 100% discharge, 200 cycles at 50% discharge)
Note the 200% increase in cycle life when depth of discharge is reduced to 50%.
A small battery will be more deeply discharged than a larger one doing the same job, thus the smaller battery will not have as long a life.
